PROJECTS

Here is a selection of marketing projects that I have helped clients with.

Launched: November 2020 | Client: Art for Youth | Built in: Shopify

Art for Youth is an exhibition that raises money through art sales for the charity UK Youth. The exhibition normally takes place at the Mall Galleries in London.

Because of the pandemic, the committee decided to exhibit and sell artwork online for the first time in its 33-year history.

I was asked to build an e-commerce site in Shopify, taking an automatic feed of artworks from the art platform Art Galleria. It was important that the shoppers could browse artworks by medium and by artist. The event exceeded its sales target.

Sami Sullivan, Head of Events & Innovation, UK Youth (2020):

“Kiersty, it has been such a pleasure working with you and I’ve really appreciated your calm and methodical approach. I have leaned on you hugely when my tech brain has reached its limit, but I also feel I have learned a huge amount from you – so thank you.”

Completed: September 2020 | Client: Type Pro

Type Pro delivers online training to qualify HR and other professionals to use personality questionnaires.

The owners wanted to reach Learning & Development Managers with an offer on one of their open courses.

I wrote an advertorial piece for the Training Journal’s Press Zone and liaised with the publication to have the feature promoted on their LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook pages.

Launched: July 2020 | Client: Helston Local Food Hub | Built in: Wix

Helston Local Food Hub enables shoppers in the Helston area of Cornwall to buy fine seasonal produce from local farmers and food producers.

The online shop resides on the Open Food Network website, and this meant that the website address for the Helston Local Food Hub was unwieldy.

I was asked to build a single page website on the above domain to direct visitors to the shop. The site needed to explain what the food hub does, as well as provide the names of participating producers. The site is built in Wix so it can be easily managed in-house.

Alastair Cameron, Helston Local Food Hub (2020):

“Kiersty helped me through the whole process of setting up a website for Helston Local Food Hub, which was something I had never done before. She provided clear guidance on the options available and what she needed from me and came up with some strong ideas on how the website could look. I’m very happy with the result and it’s just what I hoped for. Kiersty has a really collaborative approach which makes working with her a real pleasure. At the end of the project I had a great website and a clear set of instructions for future management of the site.”

Completed: July 2020 | Client: i2ISO | Built in: WordPress

i2ISO is a quality management consultancy that helps businesses with ISO certification.

Following a review of their WordPress website and digital marketing, I…

  • set up Google Analytics
  • corrected a 404 error and installed an SSL certificate
  • installed a backup plugin
  • carried out keyword research
  • made improvements to the navigation on the website
  • set up a link to i2ISO’s LinkedIn company page
  • added social sharing links on blog posts

Completed: May 2020 | Client: Type Pro

Online training company Type Pro provides a number of videos and other resources on its website to support HR professionals in their use of personality type in the workplace.

I created a YouTube channel for Type Pro and uploaded their videos onto it. I also created a ‘Resources’ section on their WordPress website to house their videos, books and posters.

Completed: March 2020 | Client: Type Pro | Social network: LinkedIn

Both owners of Type Pro had personal LinkedIn profiles, but there was no company page for the business.

I created a LinkedIn page for Type Pro and wrote copy describing their business and ethos.

In light of the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, I suggested that we post articles about how different personality types can best cope with working from home.

Launched: January 2020 | Client: Type Pro | Built in: WordPress

When I began working with Type Pro, a priority for me was to re-design their WordPress website. Key objectives were to improve the audience’s understanding of the business, to reflect the expertise of the owners and to provide clear navigation around the site. I…

  • designed a responsive and SEO-friendly website
  • created SEO-friendly content for all pages
  • implemented Google Analytics
  • migrated the new website onto the existing domain and set up 301 re-directs
  • submitted the xml sitemap to Google and Bing

Completed: May 2017 | Client: Carter Jonas | Platform: GatherContent

In 2017, property partnership Carter Jonas launched a new website. As part of this mammoth project, I was hired by the digital marketing team to copyedit and proofread the majority of the website content.

Following tone of voice and brand guidelines, as well as keyword research, I copyedited 200 pages of website content.

The in-house team used an online tool called GatherContent to supply me with early page designs and the original content from around the business. I used the same platform to submit the edited content back to the digital team.

Daniel Fulbrook, Head of Digital Marketing, Carter Jonas (2017):

“Kiersty displays a detailed understanding of marketing. With expert knowledge and incredibly likeable, Kiersty is always the consummate professional.”

Completed: May 2017 | Client: Carter Jonas

The residential marketing team at Carter Jonas asked me to create content for their newsletter Perspective. There were fourteen editions, each giving clients an update on the residential property market in the local region.

I interviewed sales and lettings partners from across the business, asking various questions about the local property market post-Brexit. I then wrote a market update for each region, based on the insights gained from the interviews. Once the newsletters had been designed, I proofread all editions cover to cover before they were sent to print.

Tamerah-Kate Couchman, Head of Residential Marketing, Carter Jonas (2017):

“Kiersty has more professional integrity that anyone I have had the pleasure of working with. Diligent and conscientious with remarkable attention to detail, she has complete knowledge of all aspects of marketing (focussed especially in the property industry) and impressive technical skills. The calm and considered way she approaches all tasks and projects inspires confidence from her clients.”
